Our Community

a. Our creative and small business communities are just as important to us as our clients. Because of that we are volunteers, members and investors of AIGA Colorado, The One Club for Creativity Denver, the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and Erie Economic Development Council and the Downtown Erie Business Association. We also created a networking group Erie Creative Collective to bring together local creative freelancers, makers and entrepreneurs for networking, business development, mentorship and support in our home town—Erie, Colorado.

Each year we review student portfolios and provide mentorship for The One Club and Metropolitan State University of Denver, and participate in the annual Denver Paper Fashion Show.

Downtown Erie Business Association

Supporting small business.

a. Karen currently sits on the board of the Downtown Erie Business Association (DEBA) as President. DEBA helps to support the small businesses located in Downtown Erie through social media marketing, event planning and other tactics to help increase foot traffic and exposure. hofmeister designed a logo for Downtown Erie along with street banners and social media graphics.

Erie Creative Collective

a. A local creative meet up group that we started to bring together local designers, writers, makers, and other creative professionals to network, socialize, inspire and mentor. We host speakers, classes, studio tours, drink-n-draws and more.

The Annual Paper Fashion Show

Sculpting Fashion Out of Paper

a. The One Club’s Annual Paper Fashion Show is an event we look forward to every Spring. Since its inception, hofmeister has created eight dresses and that number continues to grow. Many volunteer hours and materials go into making these garments by local creative professionals, fashion designers and students. We are always blown away by the creativity and problem solving that goes into making a wearable garment made almost entirely of paper. Check out some of our creations here.
